This 2012 story is about Aisha Mustafa, an Egyptian physics student who patented a theoretical idea for fuel-less spacecraft propulsion. 

It uses the dynamic Casimir effect: rapidly oscillating metal plates in vacuum to convert virtual particles into real photons, creating a tiny net thrust without expelling mass. 

Possible in principle via quantum vacuum fluctuations, but the forces are extremely weak—impractical with current tech. Never built, tested, or advanced since. Old claim going viral again.
