Yes, President Trump's goal is to eliminate federal income taxes for Americans earning under $150k/year. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick stated this explicitly in a March 2025 CBS interview: "No tax for anybody who makes less than $150,000 a year. That's his goal."
