BREAKING NEWS: Cure for sickle cell disorder is now available at sickle cell foundation Nigeria, LUTH. You can get it as a Nigeria ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฌ.

The Sickle Cell Foundation Nigeria (SCFN), in partnership with Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), offers bone marrow transplantation (also called stem cell transplantation) as a curative treatment for sickle cell disorder (SCD). This is established as a known cure for eligible patients, and the program has been active and performing procedures in Nigeria since around 2024.

Bone marrow transplant can cure sickle cell disease in many cases, but it's not 100% guaranteed. Global success rates are around 85-95% for survival and disease-free outcomes, especially in children with matched donors. In Nigeria at SCFN/LUTH, reports indicate 85-90% success for eligible patients. Risks exist; consult a doctor for personalized advice
