The
Los Angeles artist who painted a nude portrait of Donald Trump -
complete with a micropenis - said his legal team is now threatening to
sue.
Ilma
Gore's Make America Great Again painting went viral in February after
she posted the image to her Facebook, where it was shared more than
260,000 times.
Gore said she was soon pummeled with thousands of death and rape threats and even stalkers at her home.
Los Angeles
artist Ilma Gore said she is being threatened by Trump's legal team
after painting a portrait that showed that GOP presidential hopeful in
the nude - and with a micropenis
Gore (pictured) said she was pummeled
with thousands of death and rape threats and even stalkers at her home
after releasing a picture of the portrait on her Facebook, where it was
shared more than 260,000 times
And
now an anonymous number claiming to belong to Trump's legal team has
called her twice threatening a lawsuit if the painting is sold, Gore
told The Independent.
The painting is currently on display at the Maddox Gallery in London and valued at $1million.
It has received bids for more than $140,000, according to The Guardian.
Gore
was unable to display the painting in the US after museums came under
threat from supporters of the GOP presidential hopeful.
But
the artist says she is not fazed and that she still plans to sell the
piece and donate a portion of the proceeds to Sage Place for Youth, a
charity supporting homeless young people.
'It is my art and I stand by it,' she said. 'Plus anyone who is afraid of a fictional penis is not scary to me.'
But
the painting seems to scare others plenty. Both Facebook and eBay have
banned the photo and have threatened to sue Gore for copyright violation
under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act.

Threats from Trump supporters also kept the painting from being displayed at any museum in the country.
But
Gore is hardly backing down. The artist said she plans to unveil a new
painting inspired by the presidential campaign next week, she told the
New York Daily News.
Gore's
painting may have been the first real mention of the size of Trump's
manhood during the presidential race, but it certainly wasn't the last.
Sen
Marco Rubio seemed to make a veiled reference to it during a rally in
Virginia weeks after Gore released her painting to the masses.
'And you know what they say about men with small hands?' Rubio asked the crowd. 'You can't trust them.'
Trump
then directly addressed Rubio's dig during a Republican debate in
March, saying: 'I guarantee you there's no problem. I guarantee.'
Gore said it doesn't really matter what the actual size of Trump's penis is.
'You can be a massive p**** despite what's in your pants!' she told the Independent.
The naked Trump
is not the only artwork to appear of Trump in recent months. Candadian
comedian Davison drew a surprisingly accurate picture, given she used
her breasts to paint it

Gore
isn't the only member of the art world to portray the Republican
presidential nominee front-runner in a less-than-flattering piece of
art.
Canadian
comedian Davison, of the YouTube channel LOLPervs, filmed herself
painting a portrait of Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump
with her breast because he is the 'biggest boob on the internet', she
explained.
Davison
auctioned off the innovative work of art featuring the 69-year-old at
32auctions and promised to donate 50 percent of the proceeds to a breast
cancer charity of Trump's choosing.
Meanwhile, Sarah Levy, of Portland, painted his portrait in her period blood.
Levy
describes her red-and-white picture of Trump, who looks like he is
speaking, as 'menses on a matte board' and has titled it 'Whatever'.
The work was meant as a protest against Trump's comments about women and menstruation.
