Nigerian Navy ship 'UNITY' arrives Sri Lanka from China

The newly ac­quired Navy Ship (NNS) UNITY which depart­ed China last month has arrived Port of Colombo, Sri Lanka, Southern Asia.
The Offshore Pa­trol Vessel departed Port of Klang, Malay­sia on Saturday, Octo­ber 1st, 2016 and ar­rived Port of Colombo on Wednesday, Octo­ber 5, 2016.
The Ship which is on her maiden voyage to Nigeria was warmly received at the Port by a delegation from the Nigerian Navy led by Rear Admiral Andrew Odeh, the Naval band of Sri Lankan Navy and other dignitaries.
As part of her dip­lomatic activities in Sri Lanka, the head of Ni­gerian Navy delega­tion and other senior naval officers of NNS UNITY paid a Cour­tesy Visit on the Flag Officer Commanding Western Naval Area of Sri Lankan Navy, Rear Admiral Jayantha De-Silva in his office.
In a statement in Abuja, Navy spokes­man, Commodore Christian Ezekobe, said that NNS UNITY is expected to depart Port of Colombo on FridayOctober 7, 2016 enroute Mauritius for her onward journey to Nigeria.
