presenter Steve Backshall married Olympic athlete Helen Glover on
Saturday afternoon, almost a year after the couple formally announced
their engagement.
The
43-year old, best known for his work with the National Geographic and
Discovery Channels, tied the knot with Helen during an intimate ceremony
in picturesque Pisky Cove, West Cornwall - Helen's home county.
Posing
for official wedding photos in front of a rugged coastal backdrop,
Steve only had eyes for his new wife, who stunned in an ivory lace
embellished gown with sweeping train.

Precariously
perched on a jagged rock, the presenter enjoyed one of his first kisses
as a married man with the rower, 30, just weeks after her
participation in the Rio Olympics.
Helen
recently admitted she was finally looking ahead to their wedding and
future together after dedicating the last four years to defending her
Olympic title with partner Heather Stanning.
'I was
so focused on the Olympics, one of the first things Heather said to me
afterwards is "you're getting married now!" she told This Morning in
August.

'Rather than a long countdown it is going to be a three-week countdown. It is really exciting.'
Helen met Steve at a Sport Relief event in 2014 and agreed to marry him after he proposed on a holiday in Africa a year later.
