Goals from Sergio Aguero, David Silva and Yaya Toure
gave the Chilean's charges a priceless victory in the first leg of their
round of 16 clash at the Olimpic Stadium
Manchester City took control of their Champions League last-16 tie with Dynamo Kiev with a 3-1 victory in the first leg in Ukraine.Sergio Aguero opened the scoring after a quarter of an hour at the Olimpic Stadium, rifling an excellent finish into the bottom corner of the net.
A superb team move saw Raheem Sterling set up David Silva for City's second 25 minutes later, with the Premier League side in cruise control by the time the first half drew to a close.
Vitaliy Buyalskyi pulled one back for the hosts after the break with the help of a Nicolas Otamendi deflection, though, as City were put under pressure for much of the second period.
But Yaya Toure struck late on to give the visitors a two-goal cushion ahead of the second leg at the Etihad Stadium next month.
