The Award wining film "Dry" won the Programmers' Award Narrative Feature at the at 24th Pan African Film Festival.
Stephanie Linus’ directorial debut "Dry," which screened at the largest and most prestigious black film festival in America – the Pan African Film Festival (PAFF), won an award at the festival.
"Dry" won the Programmer's Award Narrative Feature at the at 24th Pan African Film Festival. from February 4 –15 in Los Angeles.
"Dry" was screened on Sunday, February 7 Saturday, February 13 and Monday, February 15.
Inspired by the true story of a young girl named Aisha, the movie features Darwin Shaw as Dr. Alex, the legendary Liz Benson Ameye as the Matron and Bill McNamara as Dr. Brown.
'Dry' also stars Zubaida Ibrahim as Halima, the teenager who had to endure a life not designed for a child: to be married to a man who was more than four times her age.
Stephanie won her first film award for 'Dry' at the Geena Davis and ARC Entertainment’s inaugural Bentonville Film Festival (BFF) in Arkansas, USA.
