New photos of Sunday Oliseh as he begins training with new club Fortuna Sittard & makes history in the process

Tuesday, 3 January 2017

Former Super Eagles captain and coach, Sunday Oliseh on Monday evening commenced training with his new club, Dutch second division side Fortuna Sittard, and in the process made history as the first African to manage a club in the Netherlands.

Oliseh, who applied for the job directly, rather than through his agent, says he's elated to be coaching the club and says his first aim is to develop a playing philosophy for the club to ensure they concede less goals and play beautiful football.

"I am very happy to be here," Oliseh told Fortuna Sittard's official website.
"Because this is a good opportunity for me. Years ago, I got the highest coaching diploma in England, in a class with guys like Ryan Giggs and Roberto Di Matteo. Now I want to bring my football philosophy into practice. There were other clubs interested in me.
"But they are thousands of kilometers away from my home (in Belgium). And I want to be close to my family. My family means the world to me. Is more important than training. But training I love to do most. I contacted Fortuna myself.
"I have a manager, but I did it myself. Partly because I wanted to get a feel for the club. what kind of club is Fortuna, where does the club want to go? I spoke with Charly Chudik and liked the conversation we had."
Fortuna Sittard have conceded 39 goals in 19 league games this season and are currently placed 18th with 15 points and Oliseh knows his main aim this season is to stop the club from being relegated.
"Every weekend I go to watch a match somewhere in the area," he says.
The last game I played for Ajax was against Fortuna in a cup final at the De Kuip in Rotterdam. It was a good game for me, because we won. So it was not for Fortuna. Maybe I can now make it up to Fortuna by becoming the trainer here. I had actually hoped to start as a trainer somewhere by the start of next season. But this opportunity came along and now I'm here.”
"We concede too many goals. We must first stop that from happening. The next phase is to play more to the other goal. So not only keep the other team away from our goal, but also try to win games. Hopefully, we develop our own style of football. Sittard-style of football.

Arnold Schwarzenegger takes over Celebrity Apprentice, but Donald Trump is still cashing in from show

Tuesday, 3 January 2017

Hollywood actor Arnold Schwarzenegger is now the host of popular television show 'celebrity apprentice' and on Monday night's new episode used slogans like 'you're terminated' (instead of Trump's 'you're fired') to introduce the contestants to his new style as 'boss' of the show.

but what's got American political analysts concerned is that U.S president-elect Donald Trump still bears credits from the show as 'Executive producer', leading to assertions the incoming US president could have divided attention if he continues to have an influence in the handling of the TV program.

From scenes of fast cars, to electrical sounds to rock music, the producers of the show ensured that every trace of Donald Trump was erased from the show, as he claimed recently he won't be actively involved in the production of the hit show.

But Billionaire businessman, Trump remained on the show's credits as an executive producer - one of a series of business interests that have had some Americans concerned about him being compromised once he takes office as the president of the United States.

The attempts to remove Trump's stamp and name off the tv brand that he co-created 12 years ago were obvious from the beginning as Schwarzenegger's name was written all over the show and he even introduced nephew Patrick Schwarzenegger alongside ex-top model Tyra Banks as his advisors on the show.

Trump's name appeared after Mark Burnett (show's co-founder) but before Schwarzenegger - who is also an executive producer on this show.

Trump has been an executive producer on the show since 2004 and will earn a five figure sum for being on the credits.

Reina nightclub attack: 18-year-old Israeli girl's first trip abroad was her last

Tuesday, 3 January 2017

Israeli teenager, Leanne Nassar begged her parents to let her go to Istanbul for New Year's Eve , but her trip ended in tragedy when a terrorist stormed the Reina night club and killed 39, leaving dozens injured.

Nasser, 18, from Tira, an Arab town in central Israel, had big plans for the future after finishing high school in June. She worked at a dental clinic and was saving to buy a car. She wanted to be a dentist one day. But first was New Year's Eve and celebrating the start of 2017. She flew to Turkey from Israel on Dec. 30 with two friends, Roa Mansour and Alaa Abdul Hai, to celebrate New Year's Eve.

According to CNN, the four young women made their way to the Reina restaurant on the Bosporus in Istanbul. A few hours before midnight, she posted a picture to Snapchat. In it, she flashed a half-smile, a floral crown atop her long, dark hair. Her brown eyes looked straight at the camera.
Her father had refused because he was worried Istanbul wasn't safe and he wanted her to stay home. Despondent, she turned to her aunt, Layal Masarweh, who intervened on her behalf.
"Her father was totally against that," Masarweh said. "He was saying that Istanbul is too dangerous and that she should not go at all. But she insisted, saying that nothing will happen to her."
Masarweh now says she cannot forgive herself for what happened to her niece, who had aspirations of becoming a dentist.
"I wish I was with her to defend her or do anything to save her life. I wish they took my soul and gave it to her," she said.
Layan’s funeral will hold today,  Tuesday, January. Meanwhile, her three friends were found -- two were uninjured. One was in the hospital, having sustained moderate injuries in the attack, but she was in stable condition and was expected to recover.

U.S Shop sparks outrage with signpost that reads 'Obama & other muslims not allowed here' (photos)

Tuesday, 3 January 2017

A convenience store in New Mexico , U.S, has sparked outrage with it's racist signpost that read 'Obama and other Muslims not allowed here', with reports saying the owner of the convenience store is a proud KKK member and also a Donald Trump fanatic.

According to reports, the store also sells Barack Obama tissue paper, but he hasn't been arrested or charged yet, as no official police complaint has been made.

One of the signs on the shop also read “Kill Obama” and another says “Obama & Muslims not welcome here.”

The signs also read “2012 No Re-nig.” A sign aimed at NFL player Colin Kaepernick, who has protested about police brutality against black people, called the San Francisco 49ers quarterback an “overpaid half breed” and said he should “go back to Africa.”

“Colin Kaeper-d**k, you overpaid half-breed: Take your millions and go back to Africa,” the sign read.
Ibrahim Hooper, national communications director of the Council of American-Islamic Relations [CAIR], said:
'While everyone has the First Amendment right to free speech even offensive speech we urge the store's owner to remove the sign in the interest of common decency and of our nation's unity at a time of increasing divisions.'
CAIR revealed there were more than 900 anti-Muslim incidents since Donald Trump was elected, including Muslim women being targeted and mosques being threatened.

The racist sign is on the window of Mayhill convenience store, that is reportedly owned by Kevin Crouch.

People have been blasting the owner of the shop on social media, see some reactions below...

President Obama to deliver farewell speech in Chicago on January 10

Tuesday, 3 January 2017

Since George Washington, U.S. presidents have often delivered a final address to the American people as a way to share both their reflections on their time in office and their outlook on the future of our country.

President Obama plans to formally end his political career in the place where it all began. He will return to the place site of his 2012 re-election celebration...McCormick Place, Chicago on January 10, 2017.

In a statement issued by the White House, the President said:
On Tuesday, January 10, I 'll go home to Chicago to say my grateful farewell to you, even if you can't be there in person. I'm just beginning to write my remarks. But I'm thinking about them as a chance to say thank you for this amazing journey, to celebrate the ways you've changed this country for the better these past eight years, and to offer some thoughts on where we all go from here.
Since 2009, we've faced our fair share of challenges, and come through them stronger. That's because we have never let go of a belief that has guided us ever since our founding—our conviction that, together, we can change this country for the better.

So I hope you 'll join me one last time. Because, for me, it's always been about you.
-President Barack Obama

'Marriage isn't supposed to be a battle field, protect your kids by making the right discussion' - Tonto Dikeh advices ladies

Monday, 2 January 2017

Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh Churchill, took to Instagram to react to the report of a woman who was beaten and stabbed in her private parts by her husband, for allegedly cheating on him with a teenage boy. She wrote:
"This is all too confusing. Where is it in the Bible that says it's ok to beatup your spouse? How long do we keep forgiving and living a lie all in the name of our children.
The SAME children if not removed from an abusive environment will grow up to be the Abuser THEMselves. A man who hits a woman today has over time watched it happen before. It could never be a first time event half the time. Protect your Children by making the right discussion for them. Marriage isn't supposed to be a battle field and even if it were, Men pick someone your own size..
How long do we keep look and listening to society telling us how to live our lives? Same society that would blame you tomorrow if something tragic happens. Society please be kind to women, give us the respect, care and protection we deserve..
MEN WOULD YOU LOVE TO SEE YOUR MOTHERS OR SISTERS BE TREATED THIS WAY??? THEN WHY DO IT TO US?? Listen it absolutely doesn't matter what a woman does to you,you have various options to walk away. Not pose like a boxer in a ring with mayweather..
A man who truly loves his wife won't dare lay a finger on her. There are so many ways to resolve marital conflicts and violence does no good...

Trump set to repeal many of Obama's laws and policies as soon as he takes office

Monday, 2 January 2017

The US president-elect is yet to be sworn in but he is already taking a wrecking ball to Obama's legacy. This is according to his chief press secretary, Sean Spicer who made a series of revelations during an appearance on ABC's This Week. Spicer told host, Jonathan Karl, that the future Commander-in-chief will 'sign a series of executive orders' on day one, so he can do two things.

The first, Spicer said, will be to 'repeal a lot of the regulations and actions that have been taken by this administration over the last eight years that have hampered both economic growth and job creation.' He added that the second thing Trump will do is bring in 'forward thinking.'
Spicer said Trump will 'bring a new brand to Washington,' by implementing a five-year lobbying ban or a lifetime ban on anyone who wants to serve a foreign government.
'If you want to serve in a Trump administration, you’re going to serve this country, not yourself,' Spicer said.

No specific policies or laws were mentioned but Obamacare could be in Trump's line of fire along with the Transpacific trade deal.
Spicer also revealed Trump won't slow down on his use of social media even though the president elect said in a previous interview that he'll cut back on his tweeting once in office. Spicer said the platform allows Trump to have a 'direct conversation' with the public that isn't 'funneled through the media.'

'The fact of the matter is that, when he tweets, he gets results.
'So whether it’s Twitter, holding a news conference, picking up the phone, having a meeting, he is going to make sure that he continues to fight for the American people every single day.'
Hang on America, it's not going to be a smooth ride.
