Angry youths in Osun state today chased out an Osun state commissioner
nominee, Idiat Babalola from the Funeral ceremony of Senator Isiaka
Adeleke, which took place in Ede community, Osun state. The youths
allege that Adeleke was poisoned so as to make way for Idiat and another
politician to run for the state governorship election in 2018.
Idiat has reportedly been penciled down to be the running mate in the state governorship election.
It took the intervention of Ogun state governor, Ibikunle Amosun, Ondo
state governor Rotimi Akeredolu and other politicians to rescue her from
the angry youths who intended to beat her up.
