10 juicy lyrics from Beyoncé’s new Lemonade album that got people talking

Monday, April 25, 2016

Did Jay Z cheat on Beyonce? Looks like that's what Beyonce wants her fans to think with the release of this new album. Some of the songs in her new album was about cheating. Some people have highlighted ten of the most intriguing lyrics from the new album. See below...
1. "So what are you going to say at my funeral now that you've killed me? Here lies the body of the love of my life whose heart I broke without a gun to my head. Here lies the mother of my children both living and dead. Rest in peace, my true love, who I took for granted."
2. "Looking at my watch, he shoulda been home. Today I regret the night I put that ring on. He always got them f--king excuses."
Brace yourselves listeners, because this is only the beginning when it comes to topics of possible cheating.

3. "He only want me when I'm not there. He better call Becky with the good hair."

Rachel Roy acknowledged this by tweeting "Good hair don't care, but we will take good lighting, for selfies, or self truths, always. Live in the light #nodramaqueens."

4. "Middle fingers up, put them hands high. Wave it in his face, tell him, boy, bye. Tell him, boy, bye, middle fingers up. I ain't thinking ‘bout you."

5. "You remind me of my father, a magician… able to exist in two places at once. In the tradition of men in my blood, you come home at 3 a.m. and lie to me. What are you hiding? The past and the future merge to meet us here. What luck. What a f--king curse."

6. "Show me your scars and I won't walk away...every promise don't work out that way."

7. "Ashes to ashes, dust to side chicks."

8. "You know I give you life. If you try this s--t again you're gonna lose your wife."

9. "I tried to change, closed my mouth more, tried to be softer, prettier, less awake. Fasted for 60 days, wore white, abstained from mirrors, abstained from sex, slowly did not speak another word… I grew thickened skin on my feet I bathed in bleach and plugged my menses with pages from the holy book, but still inside me, coiled deep, was the need to know…are you cheating on me?"

10. "My grandma said nothing real can be threatened. True love brought salvation back into me. With every tear came redemption. And my torture became my remedy."

At the end of Lemonade, Beyoncé sings about forgiveness and the importance of family.

Alleged graphic photos of people killed by Fulani herdsmen in Nimbo, Uzo-Uwani LGA of Enugu State

Monday, April 25, 2016

Many people are said to have been killed by suspected herdsmen in Nimbo, Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area of Enugu State on Monday. The spokesman of the police in Enugu State, Mr Ebere Amaraizu who confirmed the incident said the Commissioner of Police, Mr Nwodibo Ekechukwu had already moved to the local government to ensure that normalcy returned. The photos after the cut are graphic *viewer discretion advised*
"The police are aware of the attack in Uzo-Uwani and the state commissioner of police is already there to ensure that situation is brought under control. The police are also collaborating with sister security agencies like the army, civil defence and the Department of State Services to handle the matter," Amraizu said.
An eyewitness who pleaded anonymity told the News Agency of Nigeria(NAN) in Nsukka that the suspected herdsmen numbering up to 300 invaded the community with guns and machetes, shooting sporadically and killing people.
"As they were killing people, they were also setting houses and vehicles ablaze. Many people have been killed; I do not have the actual number" he said.
A Facebook user Aluma Jona Enyi posted these photos alleging that they are corpses of victims of the attack. Below is what he wrote:
"There is fire on the mountain , another mass killing and property destructions by Fulani herdsmen in Nimbo community in Uzo Uwani LGA of Enugu state just like what they did in Agatu, Benue state. many people ar confirmed dead now, many properties are destroyed including church buildings, cars, schools, residential houses etc. They have been terrorizing the community since 3am today. the people of the community have ran out from their various homes to unknown destination for safety, Wen I called the commission of police Enugu state dis morning, he said that they ar on top of the situation... though I later learnt that army has surrounded every nook and cranny of the community but someone 4rm the community told me that many people have been killed nd many properties have been destroyed before the arrival of military men. What annoys me most is that the information came three days ago that Fulani herdsmen are going to Uzo Uwani LGA to fight, we notified all the security agencies and military men have been around the whole places since two days, just yesterday they left that Fulani started killing people, they blocked the road leading to Ugbene Ajima (the neighboring community) thereby blocking entrance into the community under their attack. none arrest has been made so far as the herdsmen have fled to unknown place. I tink dis is high time we expunge these evils in human form out of our land. I totally condemn the killing, am calling on traditional rulers, local govt chairman, Enugu state government and all the relevant stakeholders and agencies in our state to profile a lasting solution to this ugly trend in our place, we can't continue to be living in fear in our own land, the other time it was in Abbi community, today it is in Nimbo, who knows the next communuity they will attack. For now more than ten people are confirmed dead. Many people are yet to come back home and their phone lines are switched off, who knows whether they are dead or alive. These herdsmen have been perpetrating all kinds of heinous crimes in our land.. I want the local govt chairman to ban them from entering our area for now. These people are boko haram in disguise. If we don't do something now their next attack may be disastrous. May God save us from our enemies........Amen..."

Plus-size model Tess Holliday proudly puts her growing baby bump on show in a figure-hugging knit dress less than one week after hitting out at body-shaming critics

Just days after speaking out against her body-shaming critics who claim her size 22 frame means she doesn't 'look pregnant', plus-size model Tess Holliday has proudly shared snapshot of herself cradling her growing baby bump.
The 30-year-old, who is eight-months pregnant with her second child, took to Instagram on Saturday to post a photo herself modeling a black knit dress while leaning against a blue brick wall in Long Beach, California.
'Baby bump'n,' she captioned the image, in which she is modeling a dress from Forever 21's plus-size collection.

Tess ended the post using the hashtags '#33weeks' and '#babyhollidayontheway' to celebrate her ongoing pregnancy.
In the picture, the colorful tattoos on Tess' arms, legs, and feet are visible thanks to her sleeveless dress, which she paired with black and leopard platform sandals.
Less than a week ago, Tess had taken to Instagram to hit out at critics who have commented on her body in relation to the health of her unborn child since she announced her pregnancy.
'Having another baby has been a beautiful process and at times, frustrating,' she wrote. 'As I enter my eighth month, my body overall looks the same other than my belly and I'm okay with that.'
However, she went on to say that it is 'not cool' that she has had to learn to be okay with the fact that people still think it's okay to comment on her body.

Tess revealed that while some people tell her she doesn't 'look pregnant' someone else cruelly said she must be having 'quadruplets' because of the size of her body.

Meanwhile, critics consistently tell her she is putting her 'baby at risk' along with a 'slew of other uneducated statements' that aren't true.
'When "celebrities" are pregnant in the press, they look glamorous, toned and are eager to talk about how they are going to get the baby weight off,' she explained. 'While I've done my best to look as put together as possible, that's not real life, and it's not for most women.
'I'm not the first plus-size woman in the public eye to have a baby and share it with the world, and I certainly won't be the last.'
Tess argued that she is 'part of a small minority' that will tell other women 'it's okay to not have a perfect baby bump, or not show at all, to be plus-size and have a healthy child, and most importantly to find a care provider that doesn't shame you about your size'.
'It's also okay to tell someone to f**k off when they give you unsolicited advice about what's "best" for you and your baby,' she added. ' As women, we know what's best and that's our business.. No one else's.'

Tess' powerful message about being a plus-size woman in the public eye was accompanied by a photo of herself posed in her bra and underwear with one hand resting on her stomach.
Earlier this month, the plus-size model celebrated her eighth month of pregnancy by sharing a candid photo of her growing baby bump.
'Another month, another bump photo,' she captioned the image. 'Eight months and kicking like crazy, he/she never stops moving.'
Tess purposely left her beautiful face out of the image, which instead focuses on the curve of her body.
This is a second pregnancy for Tess, who gave birth to her 10-year-old son Rylee when she was 20. However, this is her first child with her fiancé Nick Holliday, and the expectant mom couldn't be happier.
The model continues to proudly share photos of her changing body, and pregnancy hasn't stopped the body activist from using social media as a means to hit back at her critics.

LGBT magazine editor hacked to death in Bangladesh

Monday, April 25, 2016

A senior editor at Bangladesh's first LGBT magazine Roopbaan and leading gay rights activist has been hacked to death in the capital Dhaka. He was killed today Monday, April 25, Dhaka Tribune reports.
Julhaz Mannan, 35, (pictured with ambassador Dan Mozena) was the founder and editor of the magazine and also worked at the US development agency USAID.

The killing comes two days after a university lecturer was hacked to death by suspected Islamist militant.

According to Dhaka Tribune, armed militants disguised as courier workers entered the flat where Mannan lived and killed him along with his friend Tanay Mojumdar.

A security guard told the Dhaka Tribune that five to six youths got into the house claiming they had parcels for the activist. But half an hour later he heard shouting and shooting from the flat and rushed into the scene.
"The assailants then attacked me with knives," he said from Dhaka Medical College Hospital where he's being treated for injuries.
Mannan, who had been behind an annual Rainbow Rally, received a Superior Honor Award in 2014 from ambassador Dan Mozena for his contribution to the US mission in Dhaka.
Marcia Bernicat, the US ambassador to Bangladesh, condemned the killing. Speaking to the Guardian, she said:
"I am devastated by the brutal murder of Xulhaz Mannan and another young Bangladeshi. We abhor this senseless act of violence and urge the government of Bangladesh in the strongest terms to apprehend the criminals behind these murders."

Leicester City PLAYER Riyad Mahrez has been named the PFA Player of the Year

The Algeria international has scooped the prestigious award after a phenomenal season that has seen him score 17 times, with 11 assists, to help Leicester to the top of the table
Riyad Mahrez has been named the PFA Player of the Year for 2016 seeing off competition from Leicester City team-mates Jamie Vardy and N'Golo Kante and Tottenham's Harry Kane to scoop the prize.

The Algeria international has been inspirational for Claudio Ranieri's side this season with his 17th goal of the season on Sunday helping them move eight points clear at the top of the table after a 4-0 win over Swansea City.
Mahrez has also contributed 11 assists for the Foxes, who remain hot favourites to win their first ever Premier League title with just three games left to play.
The Algeria international's Leicester team-mate Jamie Vardy came second in the vote with Tottenham striker Harry Kane finishing third.
"It's extra special because if the players vote for me it's because they've seen I've been great this year so I'm happy," said Mahrez on accepting the award.

"Without my team-mates I wouldn't get this award. We are like brothers, it's everywhere on the pitch. That's our strength.

"If sometimes we are not good, we know we are going to run and make the effort for our team-mates. That is the secret of our success."
Mahrez is Leicester's first-ever winner of the award and also makes history by becoming the first African player to pick up the accolade.
The 25-year-old Algeria international is also the first winner not to play for Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham or Manchester United since Newcastle United's Alan Shearer in 1997.
Elsewhere, Tottenham midfielder Dele Alli was named Young Player of the Year, Jamie Vardy received an award to recognise his record 11-game Premier Leageue goalscoring streak and Ryan Giggs received the PFA Merit Award.

Manchester United LEGEND Ryan Giggs has been honoured with this season's PFA Merit award.

The former Wales international has been handed the accolade as recognition for his service to football, 25 years after making his Red Devils debut
Manchester United assistant manager Ryan Giggs has been honoured with this season's PFA Merit award.

The former Red Devils winger made his Old Trafford bow 25 years ago, winning both the Young Player of the Year and Players' Player of the Year during his decorated career, and is currently Louis van Gaal's number two.

Giggs follows in the footsteps of United legends Sir Alex Ferguson, Sir Matt Busby and Sir Bobby Charlton in winning the Merit award, and he thanked those around him for helping him achieve his goals.

"I'm chuffed to have to have won all three awards; the young player was a long time ago and then the player award was a big surprise," he said.
"This is the culmination of around 25 years since my debut, so it's a credit to myself, my team-mates, staff, family and friends.
"When you win each award you look down the trophy and you see the players who have won it before and you realise what a great accolade it is.
"This is the same. I've been here on the nights when people have won it and it's legends of the game. I'm fortunate to win it and I'll enjoy it.

The 42-year-old, who made 963 appearances for United, also credited former boss Ferguson for the success he enjoyed at the club. "What Sir Alex always used to say was enjoy it. It was the last thing he said when you went out and played.
"Everything that comes with that obviously - improve every day, practise, listen, dedicate yourself - but most of all enjoy your football.

Rachel Roy addresses backlash from the Beyhive on Twitter

Monday, April 25, 2016

After the online assaults she got from the Beyhive for insinuating that Jay Z cheated on Beyoncé with her, Rachel Roy took to her Twitter to indirectly address what she termed as bullying. Read a few of the comments after the cut...

Did Jay Z cheat on Beyonce with Rachel Roy?

Monday, April 25, 2016

So on Saturday night, Beyoncé released her album, Lemonade on Tidal. There were lost of references where she talked about her experiences with infidelity, an unfaithful partner and heartbreak, on one of her songs 'Apathy'. The only clue about the identity of the other woman is the lyric: 'He better call Becky with the good hair.'
This immediately set tongues wagging and the Internet went into an overdrive yesterday trying to figure out who Beyoncé may have been talking about.

Hours after the song was released, rather than respect herself, Rachel Roy who used to be married to Jay Z's former business Damon Dash and was once rumoured to have been romantically linked with Jay Z, posted the Instagram below with the following caption: "Good hair don’t care, but we will take good lighting, for selfies, or self truths, always. live in the light #nodramaqueens."

Huge mistake! a cryptic comment hours after the release of Beyonce's new album -

The singer alludes to husband Jay Z cheating on her - but  Beyhive swam on her IG page with loads of insults.

Several hours later, Roy took down the photo before making her Instagram account private.

There are even rumours that Rachel may have been the reason Solange attacked Jay Z in the elevator in 2014. There were indications that at the Met Gala after party at the Standard Hotel, Solange's attack was casued by Jay Z being too close to Rachel

Beyoncé has still remained mostly silent about the incident, but she insinuated she was cheated on throughout her eclectic "Lemonade" setlist. In her song 'Sorry', she said: “Today I regret the night I put that ring on. He always got them f---king excuses. I pray to the Lord you reveal what his truth is.”

Buhari appeals to Nigerians to be patient with him while he works on the changes needed to grow the economy

Monday, April 25, 2016

President Buhari through a statement by the Presidential spokesman, Mallam Garba Shehu appealed to Nigerians to be patient with him over the difficulties in the land, adding that the change he promised will be achieved soon.
As part of the change, the President ordered the release of 10,000 tons of grains from the national strategic grains reserves to help alleviate hard times people were suffering.
The statement reads in full...
The Presidency firmly rejects the insinuations that poverty and lack are products of the Change mantra. This should be dismissed as an erroneous and misplaced opposition criticism. The President understands the pain and the cries of the citizens of this country and he is spending sleepless nights over how he can make life better for everyone.
Contrary to assertions by a faction of the opposition Conference of Nigerian Political Parties, CNPP, the President’s energy and focus are on changing the lives of Nigerians, with a view to making it better than he met it.
“Change is a process. Change does not happen overnight. Change can be inconvenient. Change sometimes comes with pain. Over the past year, the government has been working night and day to deliver on its promise of change to Nigerians, and the painful process is still ongoing. “This is work in progress
. As life gradually returns to normal in much of the country and the northeast in particular, agriculture will resume and traders from neighbouring African countries will once again feel safe to do business with us. “It is estimated, for instance, that three Northeast states of Nigeria alone have so far lost about three trillion Naira (Nine billion US Dollars) to the Boko Haram insurgency.
The previous administration at the center said Federal Government losses amounted to about USD18 billion. “It would have been a miracle for our country’s economy not to feel the effects of this. And, in addition to the thousands of lives lost to the insurgency, thousands have also lost their means of livelihood.
The northeast region of Nigeria is a mostly agrarian society, which means Nigeria has lost billions of naira in agricultural produce. Many communities, which have had their yearly planting and harvesting cycle disrupted by Boko Haram attacks or occupation are still yet to return to their farms. In many of these communities, there have not been planting and consequent harvest for between two to five years.
“At the time this government came to power, about 600 billion naira was owed to fuel marketers in subsidy payments. Strategic fuel reserves were depleted and local refineries not functioning. “One of the President’s first steps was to pay off the marketers, leaving an outstanding of about N150 billion which is captured in the 2016 budget. The Port Harcourt and Kaduna refineries are being brought back to life. Shortly, Nigeria will resume refining its own fuel rather than depending on imports.
” As part of the permanent solution of recurring cycle of petroleum products shortages, government is working on a plan to ensure that some of the newly-licensed independent refineries start coming on stream from 2018.” “Government is also turning its attention to the sabotage of the oil and gas infrastructure that has taken so much away from the generation and distribution of electricity.”
“These are just some aspects of the change that Nigerians voted for, a change that is happening and which will soon be felt by Nigerians in every nook and cranny of our country. “Nigerians are a people renowned for our inner strength and our ability to triumph. These are just the darkest days before the dawn. The change Nigerians voted has indeed begun.”

In the song, Queen Bey talked about killing the side chick.  Some of Monica's fans reacted to the tweet..

Who You SAID I’m Not Married--D’banj SAYS IN AN interview

4/24/2016

Banga-Lee-DBanj
In his latest interview, D’banj addressed controversies surrounding Tonto Dikeh’s exit from his record label and also lamented about people bugging him with marriage questions.
Read excerpts from the interview below: –

“Who said I am not married? I would tell you the truth, I am not married but if I am, nobody would hear about it. It is going to be a very quiet wedding because I am tired of people asking me that question. It is my personal life and it is not going to change my music or brand. I am not going to get married just because people want me to, neither would I do it just to enter another phase of my life just like some of my colleagues have done.
“They make it seem as if once you are married you have retired. But that should not be the case. Marriage would not change anything about me and whenever it happens, nobody would hear about it, there would only be speculations. My wife would not be seeking for fame because the one I have is already enough for all my family members. When I get married, it would be a very quiet one. Who knows, it might have already happened.”
