Yusuf Buhari to be transferred to Germany for further treatment

According to Sahara Reporters, President Buhari's son who sustained brain injury after he was involved in an accident while driving his motorbike in Gwarinpa, Abuja would be transferred to St Josefs Hospital in Wiesbaden, Germany.
It is also reported that he will be accompanied by his mother, Aisha Buhari, his sister, Mrs. Halima Buhari-Sheriff, the personal physician to the first lady, Dr. Kamal Mohammed and three other aides.
Medical sources said Yusuf had remained largely unresponsive to treatment at Cedarcrest Hospital where he was first taken after the bike accident in Abuja.

Bear in mind though that Bill Gates has given away a lot of his fortune to charity. Gates’ current net worth is $93.3 billion and over the past 20 years he has given away stock and cash that would be worth about $60 billion today. That would put his net worth at more than $150 billion and made him richer than Bezos if he had kept his wealth to himself.

The youngest self-made billionaire in the world has been confirmed to be John Collison. He is the co-founder and President of Stripe. He founded the tech company along with his older brother Patrick Collison, Stripe's CEO. in 2010, when he was only 19.

Photos: Troops avert major suicide bomb attack on Gamboru town

Troops of Operation Lafiya Dole deployed around Gamboru Ngala have successfully averted what would have been a major devastating suicide attack carried out by three female Boko Haram terrorists against innocent citizens in Gamboru town in Gamboru Ngala Local Government Area of Borno State in the early hours of Tuesday January 9th.
Two of the suicide bombers, strapped with suicide vests had attempted infiltrating Gamboru town at about 6.45 am when they were sighted by a joint patrol team of vigilant troops and Civilian JTF at Unguwar Yobe area shortly before entering the town. They were halted by the patrol team from a safe distance and were ordered to unstrap their suicide vests, to which they vehemently declined. All efforts and entreaties by the patrol team to make the suicide bombers remove their IED vests failed as the duo adamantly approached the troops armed with their IED vests. They were immediately neutralised by the troops, while the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Team (EOD) safely unstrapped and detonated the suicide vests.
A third female suicide bomber was detected and intercepted within the same general area and subsequently confessed to the joint patrol that she and the other two terrorists had been dispatched at about 3.30 am on Tuesday to unleash mayhem on Gamboru town. She also revealed the location she had hid her suicide vest and led the troops to recover it. The recovered vests and the surviving suicide bomber have been taken into custody for further interrogations.

'Stay home and improve your economies' - President Buhari tells illegal migrants

Rather than dare the Sahara Desert and the Mediterranean Sea, with scores of lives lost in the process, President Muhammadu Buhari has urged illegal migrants to stay back home, and find ways to improve their personal economies.

Receiving Hon. Louise Mushikiwabo, Rwandan Minister of Foreign Affairs, who came as Special Envoy of President Paul Kagame, at the State House, Abuja, Tuesday, President Buhari said Nigeria had taken it upon herself to bring back thousands of her citizens now stranded in Libya.

"Illegal migration is now a major issue in Africa. Many dare the Sahara Desert and the Mediterranean Sea to get into Europe, and many die in the process. Or they get into trouble, as we now see in Libya. I don't envy our position, as many Blacks claim to be Nigerians, even when they are not. Our Embassies in North Africa are now overworked, trying to identify the true Nigerians. Most of the reasons they mention for migrating illegally are untenable. They should stay here, and see how they can improve their own economies, instead of risking their lives," President Buhari said.

The President said Kagame, as the incoming Chairman of African Union (AU), had the issues of South Sudan, separatist agitation in southern Cameroon, unrest in Togo, and many others on the continent, to contend with.

"Gaddafi's long rule produced many people, whose only skill is how to shoot guns. Now, they are scattered around the continent, still with their weapons, and fomenting trouble," President Buhari said, adding that Nigeria was taking steps to curtail the development.

Hon. Mushikiwabo said President Kagame looked forward to the counsel and support of the Nigerian President, as he assumes the AU chair from this month.
"He will also need counsel on security issues in the Sahel, ongoing reforms in AU, borrow your expertise in agriculture, and renew friendship and kinship between our two countries," Hon. Mushikiwabo said.

Photos: Young Liberian woman burnt to death by her boyfriend for breaking up with him

A young Liberian nurse, Etta Paye, was burnt to death by her boyfriend because she ended their relationship.

According to reports, the suspect went into her bedroom, doused her with gas and set her ablaze.

The incident occurred at Barclay area of Monrovia, Liberia last week. She was rushed to the hospital with severe burns, where she died same day.

Etta Paye was laid to rest at the rehab cemetary in Wuo Town, Ganta on Saturday, January 6.

Man is charged for marrying a woman, 43, and her daughter, 18

A Pennsylvania man named has been found guilty and sentenced to prison time for marrying a 43-year-old woman and her 18-year-old daughter at the same time.
Christopher I. Hauptmann, 44, was sentenced to prison last week after pleading no contest to charges that he married a woman and then married her daughter a year later without first obtaining a divorce. He was convicted of bigamy, forgery and unsworn falsification to authorities. He was sentenced to serve a term ranging from one year minus a day to two years minus a day.

Reports say Hauptmann, who is a former owner of a bail bonds business in Shamokin, had used the alias "Christopher Buckley" on some documents. Fingerprints confirmed Hauptmann and Buckley were the same person, according to authorities.
Shannon Deitrich, the woman Hauptmann married in 2015, testified against him. Hauptmann married Deitrich’s daughter, Kaylee Durovick, the following year without having first divorced Deitrich. The daughter was 18 at the time, according to Inside Edition.

Hauptmann is now prohibited from contacting Deitrich, but is reportedly still married to Durovick.

Before Buhari joined APC, he considered himself already too old to serve more than one term. He also vowed to fix security and power supply.

In a February 2011 interview, Theophilus Abbah, asked Buhari:

Why did you say you will do just one term, if elected?

Buhari: “I’m not getting younger. If I succeed and do one term, I will be 73 years old.”

If you’re doing just one term, you may want to urgently do some things? What are they?

Buhari: “There are two issues and I have said it in one sentence. Security and power. This country has to be secured and managed. People in Nigeria must not go about fearing that they would be abducted. You must not be afraid to the point that you can’t drive from Kaduna to Kano any time of the day. If you are in Lagos, you should have jobs to the point that you can afford to have three shifts in a day. That is eight hours each. But people are now very scared wherever they are. People have built houses worth over a billion naira, but they are afraid to live in them. What is the use? So, security is number one. Number two is structure. We have to revive the electricity sector so that people will have access to power to carry out their businesses. Others include the roads, the railways, the shipping lines. We used to have all these things. In spite of what we earned in the last eleven years, the whole infrastructure has already collapsed.”

Buhari later joined APC and became president in 2015. He’s spent a large chunk of his tenure receiving medical treatment in London apparently due to old age.

It took the president, who said he’d move with speed, six months to name a cabinet. Baba Go Slow.When, two years into his tenure, he made some board appointments, dead people featured on the list. #TheWorkingDead.

He’s now 75 and there are talks about him seeking reelection.

Buhari recently said he wasn’t sure how old he was and had to be reminded of his age. Dementia? That perhaps could explain why he may not remember telling Nigerians he’d only run for one term, should he run again.

And, by the way, power supply is still terrible. And security? Well, Boko Haram has been “technically defeated” while murderous herdsmen are issuing press releases all over the place.

New trend! Men are now undergoing Penis Whitening (Photos)

A Bangkok clinic in Thailand has started offering patients penis whitening, a bizarre trend which has seen many men rushing to undergo the procedure which works via laser treatment.
The controversial procedure caused a stir on Thai TV and social media after the Lelux Hospital published images of a client undergoing the treatment last Thursday.
The new service is reportedly attracting three to four clients every day.
“These days a lot of people are asking about it,” revealed Bunthita Wattanasiri, manager for the skin and laser department at the hospital.
“We have to be careful because it’s a sensitive part of the body,” he told AFP.
The clinic started offering the treatment after a patient came in complaining about “dark part” on his groin.

Now they see more than 100 men a month, most of whom are between the ages of 22 and 55, Wattanasiri claims.
A large number of the clinic’s clients are also part of Thailand’s LGBTQ community, reports the South China Morning Post.
The treatment currently costs $650 (£480) for five sessions.

''Herdsmen deserve more from the Federal government'' Minister of Agriculture, Audu Ogbeh, says

The Minister of Agriculture, Audu Ogbeh, has said that the lingering crisis between herdsmen and farmers in many parts of the country is because of the long term neglect of cattle rearers by the Federal government. According to him, successive governments in the last 50 years have focused their attention on other sectors in Agriculture like Rice, cassava farming, and others and have continuously neglected herdsmen and their needs.
"Over the years, we have not done much to look seriously into the issue of livestock development in the country. I am sad to tell you that in the last 50 years until recently, we may have done enough for the rice farmer, the cassava farmer, the maize farmer, the cocoa farmer, but we have not done much for herdsman and that inability and omission on our part is resulting in the crises we are witnessing today. In Europe, every cow that is farmed gets a subsidy of 6 Euros per day, we have done next to nothing for the cattle rearers and as a result, their operations have become threats to other farmers" he said

Ogbeh said plans are on the way for cattle rearers to stop roaming the streets and that pastures will soon be made available. 

"At least, five thousand hectres of land would be made available, adequate water, adequate pasture would be made available. We also want to stop cattle rearers from roaming about. The cattle will be provided with water and adequate security by the Agro Rangers," the minister added.

They called her ignorant and 'dumb' for assuming the ad was racist, citing other football players, including David Beckham who have been the face of the cleats brand.
