Donald Trump's aides wanted damaging information about Hillary Clinton "so badly" - Russian lawyer says

Natalia Veselnitskaya, the Russian lawyer caught up in the controversy over her meeting with Donald Trump Jr. last year denies that she's worked for the Russian government.

In an interview on NBC's "Today" show she said that Trump Jr. and others at the meeting wanted damaging information about Hillary Clinton "so badly." 

Veselnitskaya was asked specifically how the Trump aides that attended the meeting including President Donald Trump's son-in-law and adviser, Jared Kushner, and then-campaign chairman, Paul Manafort had gotten the impression that she had potentially damaging information about Hillary Clinton.

"It's quite possible that maybe they were looking for such information, they wanted it so badly," Veselnitskaya said through a translator. She described the meeting in some detail, saying she "never knew" who else would attend the meeting, but was met by Trump Jr. and Manafort.

She continued to say, 

"all I knew was that Mr. Donald Trump Jr. was willing to meet with me. I could recognize the young gentleman who was only present in the meeting for only the first seven to 10 minutes. And then, he stood up and left the room. It was Mr. Jared Kushner. And he never came back, by the way. The other individual who was at the same meeting, was always looking at his phone. He was reading something. He never took any active part in the information. That was Mr. Manafort."

She was also asked point blank if she had ever worked for the Russian government and she said 'NO'.

The bombshell is seen in the video wearing several different outfits, with each one designed to show off a lot of flesh.
There's even one where she wore nothing at all and only maintained her decency by hiding behind leaves. In another, she was seen wearing a nude dress made of ropes.

The song features Gente de Zona and is the first tune from her new Spanish language album. The video was shot in Isla Morada, Florida in June.

Wanted Matharoo sisters, Jyoti and Kiran, back slaying on social media like nothing ever happened (photos)

Canadian based Indian sisters, Jyoti and Kiran Matharoo, became known after they were arrested in 2016 and admitted on camera to being the owners behind the now defunct damaging website - NaijaGistLive.

They are now confidently back on social media, showing off their flashy and extravagant lifestyle.


The Matharoos, who are wanted in Nigeria by the Police, apologized last year to petitioners they wrote damaging stories about or attempted to extort money from, saying the stories written on the site were sent in by close friends or associates of people written about.

They however changed their stories after fleeing Nigeria, claiming they were put on pressure to accept the damaging claims. See more photos below..

Tottenham Hotspur and England striker, Harry Kane has proposed to his childhood girlfriend, Katie Goodland.

The striker who finished as Premier League top scorer last season scoring 29 goals, posted the photo of himself proposing to his girlfriend Kate Goodland on Saturday in Bahamas, where they are currently holidaying.

He captioned the photo: 'She said YES! 

The pair welcomed their first child, Ivy Jane, back in January.

Federal Government gives Nollywood over N420m additional grant

The Federal Government says it has released the sum of N420.2 million to the Nigeria film industry (Nollywood) to improve and support aspiring practitioners.

According to a statement issued by the Deputy Director of Information, Federal Ministry of Finance, Mrs. Patricia Deworitshe, on Friday in Abuja, the money, which is the second tranche payment will benefit 105 film distributors.

 

The Federal Government had earlier introduced the “Project Act Nollywood’’, with three primary components aimed at developing the movie making value chain.

The components are the Film Production Fund (FPF), Capacity Building Fund (CBF) and Innovative Distribution Fund (IDF).

The FPF and CBF have been fully implemented, while the IDF, which is the third component of the project, is on-going.

The IDF covers online, National, Regional and community categories of Nollywood Film distribution and exhibition.

The objectives of IDF is to improve the distribution network of Nigerian Audio-Visual contents, cut down on piracy, create jobs, and protect Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) within the Nigerian Entertainment Industry.

N1.8 billion was approved for disbursement to 106 beneficiaries in this component, and N1.335 billion was disbursed earlier in the year as the first tranche to 105 beneficiaries.

Deworitshe said that before the release of the second tranche, the finance ministry had earlier carried out a successful monitoring and evaluation of the first tranche disbursement.

“Fifteen community cinemas and viewing centres have been established through the grant and this has improved the distribution network of movies in Nigeria.

“The programme has supported 18 firms in strengthening online distribution platforms, this has helped curb illegal downloads and piracy.

“Two hundred and fifty-six permanent jobs and 544 temporary jobs have been created through the financial support provided to 105 beneficiaries by the programme,’’ she said.

Deworitshe said the programme had also aided the extension of the Nollywood Industry to sub-Sahara Africa through the funding of National distributors to expand their distribution capacity and network.

She said through the programme, distributors had expanded their capacity to lip-synching their content in French for onward distribution to the ECOWAS sub-region.

17 people shot at a nightclub in Arkansas

US Police confirms that 17 people were hurt in a shooting early this morning after a dispute at a downtown Little Rock nightclub. The city's police chief said officers suspect multiple people fired weapons but that the incident was not terror-related.

The shooting happened at the Power Ultra Lounge, a club in a two-story building. Police has since cordoned off the block as crime-scene technicians gathered evidence from inside and outside the club. G

 "We do NOT believe this incident was an active shooter or terror related incident. It appears to have been a dispute at a concert," the city police said.

Little Rock Police said on Twitter that all 17 victims were alive and that one person who had been in critical condition was upgraded to stable.
